The Men’s Alliance of Steel Magnolias is an all-male committee that dedicates time and energy to help raise funds for children with developmental special needs/disabilities. The members of the Men’s Alliance take on the challenges of fundraising as they ignite enthusiasm in the community for the cause.
The group’s annual event is the Rally Round Golf Tournament, to be held this year on October 29 at Old Ranch Country Club in Los Alamitos. The fundraiser is presented by founder Mohammad Raghib and his wife, Jean, who generously underwrite the golf fees, donate many of the prizes and are very involved in planning and putting on the tournament.
The $50 annual membership fee is valid for the calendar year. Membership is still open for 2017. There is only one meeting per year. Support of the golf tournament with recruitment of players and/or sponsorships is welcomed. The Men’s Alliance is a no-pressure group and membership alone supports its main purpose: “It’s all for the kids” — children who have developmental special needs/disabilities.
